I am so glad I got these gloves. They fit great and are very flexible. No more skinned knuckles! The only regret I have is that I waited so long to get them! They are well made and protect my hands from dirt and injury.I already ran them through the washer too.

Look, honest opinion. I like the gloves really i do. What i feel they are missing is durability. I do not think they will last long in hard use, which is what i really thought they would be for since "mechanic" working, which in turn can mean tough jobs where the hands take a beating. That being said, i know these gloves are mainly for jobs only on the engine and drive train. Anything else such as body work is most likely a no go. The gloves truly do have that sense of touch that you need to feel and get a grip on small bolts etc. I was slightly confused i suppose, as a mechanic needs durable things to handle tough jobs. I myself do lots of both body work and engine work. These will definitely come in handy (pun) when working on the engine. I expect them to last like a normal glove, nothing too special. Pretty much you buy these gloves for the sensitivity factor that they have. They look pretty good as well! Would have been a 4-5 star IF i felt they would be superiorly durable compared to gloves bought elsewhere.

I bought a pair of these gloves a few years ago and I love them. They fit great and are very comfortable. They provide so much finger dexterity that I use them anytime I need hand protection or when I just want to keep my hands clean. I've used them when doing car work, playing paintball, and even when using our outdoor pull-up bar. I only use the gloves about once or twice a month, but even after a few years they're still in great condition.

had better cheaper gloves. ordered them and not long after i have holes in them already.

Bought these for my husband for Christmas to replace another pair of Mechanix gloves that the sides of the fingers wore out. These have leather on the sides of the fingers, so they are much more durable. They fit great and allow for good movement. He usually wears XL winter gloves, and the XL in these fit perfectly.

I've used Mechanix Original gloves for years, and have also bought less expensive clones from various hardware stores. The Mechanix Original gloves are made the best in terms of fit and overall quality. However, in terms of durability it is all about the same and I have to explain this. First off, the palm and finger surfaces are made of some nylon/polyurethane material that is highly resilient against abrasion and wear. The weakest link is the fake suede material on the sides of the fingers. This material first starts to pelt up and eventually wears into large holes. This is accelerated when you wash the gloves. Make sure you to wash it in COLD water only, and do not put it in the dryer. The bulk of the glove is made of synthetic materials: polyurethane, nylon, spandex, etc... Although they don't have fancy knuckle protectors, I found these are more than adequate for protection. The M-Pact gloves are unnecessarily bulky and the knuckle protectors actually hurt my knuckles! The less expensive Mechanix clone gloves last about as long as the Mechanix gloves at half the price. The only major difference is the overall fit and quality, and the Mechanix name. I make sure to wear the Mechanix gloves when working in the shop area with other mechanics, engineers, etc... but I use the clone gloves when I go shooting or when I work on my own vehicles because I put a lot of wear/tear and abuse on the gloves at home. The best selling point of Mechanix gloves is how they feel like part of your hand when you wear them. You can pick up small objects with the greatest of ease, and it never feels cumbersome. The M-Pact gloves and other variants of Mechanix all feel bulky and thick. Just make sure not to use the Mechanix gloves around fire because they are not flame retardant. Pros: Stylish, the brand is easily recognized, good quality and fit, excellent dexterity with good protection, affordable, easy to clean Cons: Needs to be improved in some areas like the suede material on the sides of the fingers, and more reinforcement on the index and middle finger surfaces due to wear Overall: 4/5 stars - not 5 only because a lot of clone gloves are just as good if you can look past minor quality deviations and the lack of the Mechanix brand

I actually first got a used pair of Mechanix gloves from my neighbor that he had laying around his garage... tried them and even with holes worn into the fingers in a few places I liked the fit and the velcro closure. Wanted a "pure" black pair for use when I go camping and shooting - just a good idea for saving those fleshy grippy things at the end of each arm from cuts, scrapes, pinches, etc. In fact, I patched up the original pair when my neighbor didn't want them back & those are still working great around the house here! These Large Stealth (remember that the last 3 digits are the size - so 009 is Medium, 010 is Large, 011 is X-Large, etc.) fit great (see below). I am a little leery of the "thinner" velcro (doesn't look like the traditional velcro we've all come to know & love...) but so far it's holding & working great. If they had the "normal" velcro, I probably would've bumped up to all five stars. Now to order & try a tan pair and maybe a cold-weather pair too. For some additional detail on the fit - these almost feel like a 2nd skin. I can pick up nickles & quarters with my fingertips in these - and that just doesn't happen with a lot of gloves out there. Can't pick up dimes though. I can break branches or change mags in my Ruger 10/22 by touch and still have excellent protection for my digits, knuckles, and the rest of my hand. Get them - for the price, they have good durability and excellent fit & feel.

This is a fantastic all around light weight glove. The are comfortable enough to wear all day and are useful for any tasked needing light gloves. I have worn them for work (military stuff), shooting, dirty work, mechanical work and even as a summer glove for motorcycle riding. As a motorcycle glove they are good for around town sort of trips. The are not very thick and so vibration can be an issue on longer trips.. But for the price they fit better than many gloves that cost twice as much and can usually be found at the local Walmart.

At first I was skeptic about Mechanix Wear's sizing chart (located in their website). It said I was a medium but I had always thought I would fit a small better. I ordered the medium regardless and once I tried it on, it fit amazingly! I was surprised how comfortable it was. It's thick but I am still able to text with my phone while wearing these gloves. The covert color is perfect for me. This is my first Mechanix Wear and will certainly not be my last.

Without reading this book, I never would have thought to contact the seller and make an offer that would end the auction immediately. As a result, I was able to get the exact car I wanted, and the seller got his cash the next day, without having to worry about possibly flaky bidders. Win-win. That bit of advice - by itself - was worth five stars. But there's other good stuff in the book too.

"eBay Motors, the smart way". Obviously written by a ghost writer, who relates the information second hand. A poorly written book. Lots of useless, impractical dictionay style information. The two "crafty" authors make a feeble attempt at providing actual applicable selling and buying methods, however they fail miserably. On a positive note, a real catchy cover. Numerous blank pages inside, lots of white pages of air space. An obvious attempt at stretching this book out to 290 pages. Frankly, after purchasing and reading, it was a total waste of time and money. This book is a real "dud". Peter Vrouhas, Boynton Beach, FL

I couldn't find a lot of real information for buying and selling on e-bay with this book. The book seems to have more on common sense than on laws and regulations. I admit that I bought the book to learn more about buying and selling as a hobby and I find it more directed at first time buyers or buyers only interested in buying or selling once. He gives no references to state laws or regulations. I found that in order to make the book work I had to find majority of the important information online. This book is good for people that are looking for an overview of what to look for in cars on e-bay motors. It's an easy read with large print (much how the Dummies books are written). If you're looking for e-bay "know how" experience, it's not here, so if you are new to e-bay, you should buy a separate book. Overall, I think the book could have been better. It seemed to be a fill in the blanks kind of book when I was looking for answers.

I really enjoyed reading this book I hadn'd really thought about buying a used car you Ebay but I am now trying to find one close to me to buy.Anybody with a 56-58 VW on the east coast let me know
