LEGO Star Wars MagnaGuard StarfighterReviewsThis lego set kept falling apart the whole time my son and I were trying to put it together. We had to use other lego pieces from old sets to try to reinforce a very inferior design. We eventually got it together after many fits of rage from my son. It looks really cool, but we are afraid to even touch it for fear it will all crumble again. If your child likes to actually play with the sets once they are built DO NOT BUY THIS SET! It was educational as to how not to design something and that maybe LEGO needs to test their designs better before selling them to the public. My son did a good job building it, but once he tried playing with it the thing just fell apart. Trying to put it back together and having it fall apart in your hands over and over is very time consuming and very frustrating. Either put it on a shelf and admire its beauty or glue it. bought this set for my son a few days ago, hes 9 and a wiz at putting legos together, he is into collecting the starwars collection, well out of 6 different sets he has received so far this was the worse, it keeps falling apart, he can pick it up or play with it or it falls apart, my suggestion to him was we take it back for something else, he refuses, even though i see he is really frustrated with it, i would not recommend this set to anyone, all you will have is a frustrated child as well as yourself! We spent a few hours to complete the model, my kid wants to have more Star Wars Lego toys. This was a smart buy. Just an excellent lego model. Very sturdy and solid in it's construction (pieces don't easily come off). Well thought out. More lego models should be like this for playability. PRO's-Solid construction, nicely designed, sliding cockpit canopy, two hidden storage areas for MagnaGuards weapons, two hidden flick-fire missiles, and 2 MagnaGuard mini-figures with sculpted heads and unique capes. Con's-Wish it had another area to hold the second Magna-Guard mini-figure. Overall, just a solid fun build kit. Recommended. Average Rating:![]() |

The skilled and silent MagnaGuards are General Grievous elite droid forces in the Clone Wars and their specialized starfighter is just as deadly as they are! Equipped with a lever-activated cockpit, opening engine compartments, and a hidden missile launcher with flick-action rockets, this sleek ship is a serious threat to any clone troopers or Jedi Knights who dare to cross its path... |

Clue ExpressReviewsGreat game. I got it for my 8th grade students to play during our mystery unit. It's quick and fun and I recommend it for kids and parents - good for travel I imagine although we have just played it at home and in the classroom. My bright 9-year-old granddaughter and I enjoyed playing this game but found the directions confusing at first. Other relatives later joined in but felt the board game itself to be more entertaining; however, there was some educational value to logging in "clues" about categories, clues that were sometimes harder to come by than in the full game set. The compact nature of the pieces adds to the usability in situations with limited space. Clue Express I bought this for my grandkids for Christmas (ages 7 & 9) This version of Clue is a card game, and all the suspects, rooms, and weapons are on the cards, but they added some extras. You also have to figure out who planned the crime, who committed it and who drove the get-a-way car. It was a little confusing at first, as the instruction book is not perfectly clear, but after playing 1 game, we got it all sorted out and had a lot of fun. We're used to playing the regular CLue board game, which is sometimes tedious, since you keep getting moved to rooms you don't want to be in, so this was fun in a different way and definitely takes less time to play. Really neat for travel. Compact and great design, plus reasonable price. What more can you want? Purchased this as a gift to myself... Played it with three other people and found that the game really does NOT take 20 minutes or less to play. In fact, it takes about the same time as the regular board game. I still like the game though. It's different; with the object being (with the regular "Detective" version)to find out who was the Brains & Brawn of the crime. With the other "Master Detective" game play, they add The Driver to the play plot. There is no regular board, just a card to place the dice on...dice being used (3 with the Clue characters on them and one directional/instructional die), instead of the regular character token & weapon pieces. Since the dice ARE the focus of the game play, more luck, then stategy is involved, with THIS version of the game. I still like the Classic Clue game. But, as an alternative (for Mystery/Detective game buffs, like myself), I'd recommend it. Average Rating:![]() |

Battleship ExpressReviewsThe Express games are great for all ages - our "gang" of forty-somethings plays them all the time, but I bought this one for my 12 year old niece, confident that she will have just as much fun with it. This Battleship Express blew me away by veering hard to port from my expectations! Instead of the tedium of calling out individual spaces to sink stationary ships, players roll dice to attempt to sink their opponent's lead ships. The game is now open for two to four players, and it is still over in 20 minutes or so. This game is not Battleship--but it is a new twist, and it is worth trying out! The great thing about this game is it is fast. It was easy enough for my 6 year old to understand, and everyone enjoys it! My teen sister loves to play, as do my husband and I. The only draw back to this game is it is not the classic Battleship game. This should be very obvious. It is completely different from battleship. However, that does not mean this "new" version is any less fun! These games have reinvigorated game night for my family. I highly recommend this product for families, ages 7+ years. We usually do a game night during the week. Our main problems were two-fold: 1. The shorter/quicker games often became boring or repetitive, or 2. The more exciting games could, depending on the game, run for longer than we had set aside, leaving my kids frustrated that we couldn't finish the game before bedtime. Hasbro created these self-contained Express games that can be played approximately 20 minutes. These games come in a plastic container that hold everything you need to play. Pop open the lid and begin! Battleship comes with two different games. It is based on cards that have the different battleships and rolling dice. The basic premise is that you have a fleet of ships that you line up in a particular order. Each one comes with "strength" numbers, meaning how much fire power it can emit and how much attack it can sustain. The dice are labeled with different colors or an explosion symbol. At the beginning of your turn, you decide which ship you are going to attack with and which player you are going to attack. You then roll the dice three times to attempt to sink their ship. The first player to successfully sink three ships wins. This game is exciting but has a discreet play-time (usually around 20 minutes). We often are able to play a couple of rounds before bed. It is satisfying in that we can finish several games before bedtime and have multiple "winners" so everyone is happy. We have now purchased all but one of the "Express" games from Hasbro, and all of them are equally as good. We own: Battleship Monopoly Clue Sorry (we don't have Scrabble) They are also great for travel, because everything is contained in the plastic container for storage and the dice can be rolled inside the container for easy play. I highly recommend these games for family game night, travel, or any time you just want to have a little fun. I love the traditional Battleship, and had been very impressed with the other 20 Minutes Games in this series. Battleship is a lot of fun giving you a great spin on the traditional version. I have only played this with 2 people, but I'm sure the more people that were playing the greater the challenge and thrill of the game there would be. It is certainly worth the $5!
